On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we are delighted to invite you to the 18th International Symposium on Eco-materials Processing and Design (ISEPD2017) in February 17-20, 2017 in Okinawa, Japan.
The ISEPD conference was established by the cooperation of Japan, Korea and China, and has expanded to the other East Asian Countries: Thailand, Vietnam and Nepal. Now, the economy and industries are prominently developing in the East Asia. The industrial development is derived from the scientific activities supported by enthusiastic and sincere researchers and engineers. The current worldwide issue is the environment of earth and our society. How can we protect the natural environment? How can we realize the sustainability? How can we keep our safety life? The key is the materials design and processing. The nanostructural or morphological designs enable the creation of various functional materials. However, the environmental load should be kept small for production and their usage.
On a global basis, ISEPD2017 will cover outstanding advancements in research, production and use of eco-materials. This symposium will offer material researchers and users a valuable opportunity for new knowledge on eco-materials in the fields of green processing, advanced materials, energy conversion, environmental protection, long-term usage, and so on. At this symposium, the “Mixed Anion” project in MEXT, Japan, is jointed as special session. This project is focused on mixed anion compounds toward development of new functional materials. We will extend our field with new colleagues.
And also, we would like to expect the participation of young researchers. They are our treasure to sustain the future of earth and human life.
Okinawa is a historical island in the south of Japan, which was called “Ryukyu Kingdom”. This island is surrounded by beautiful sea and the tropical culture is impressive. We are excited on the outcome and hope that you will find this symposium fruitful, enjoyable, and worthwhile in Okinawa, Japan.
